From Michaela Procházková, we received a dream project from South Moravia in our competition for office interior design – a spacious office for two people, with the goal to simplify and brighten the interior, all within a house that is a national cultural monument. Our designers eagerly took on the challenge – to connect minimalist design with a neo-Renaissance coffered ceiling.
A clear vision, quality design
What contributed to a quality solution was the clear vision of the client, Michaela. She knew she wanted a bright interior in a Nordic style, incorporating oak wood, white color, and a striking color accent, all while respecting the historical value and style of the entire building.
In addition to aesthetic requirements, Fleysen Studio's designers had to consider practical needs for the 38 m² space – the interior needed to suit two people working, include a space for meetings, and as a bonus, they tried to incorporate a small relaxation zone into the room.
The large table is one of the dominant elements in the room.

How to work modernly with a historical interior
The designers decided to highlight the coffered ceiling and add two to three striking or more massive elements – a wooden table, a plywood bookcase, and a rice paper chandelier. This connected the entire space, while the rest of the furniture and accessories were chosen to be light, inconspicuous, and seemingly floating.
A warm red shade was chosen as the striking color element, perfectly complementing the light oak veneer and universal white. The result is a bright office that, thanks to the harmonizing colors and the meeting of the past with the present, is full of harmony and inspiration.
Cabinets #1311 are a great color element for your office, here complemented by light hanging shelves #1212.
The designers complemented the coffered ceiling with mostly light colors, as requested by the client Michaela.
