Markéta Filgasová has spent her entire life searching for and creating beautiful things with which to surround herself. She came across our flagship Fleysen red and blue cabinet entirely by chance, but it was love at first sight. She knew right away that she would put the cabinet in a prominent place in her flat, where she would see it every day.

What attracted Markéta most was the colour scheme. Red and blue may seem like overly contrasting colours that would be unpleasant to the eye, but when combined with the perforations in the cabinet doors, they create a shading effect that is instead calming and harmonious.
How did you discover Fleysen and why did you choose it?
I think I first came across Fleysen on the Nanovo Instagram, where I often go for inspiration. At first glance, I was drawn to the brand because of the colours, the playfulness of the shapes, the simple lines, and the perforations. And with this cabinet, it was love at first sight. I knew right away where I would put it in my flat to give it pride of place. The colour combination is gorgeous – I never would have thought that blue and red could go so well together.
Is it important to you that the furniture is made of metal and that it is recyclable?
Yes, recyclability and durability are very important to me. We don’t have a lot of furniture at home, and we mostly buy old, refurbished items. If we buy something new, it’s important to us that our grandchildren will be able to use it someday.
Did the fact that the product is FSC certified play a role in your choice?
I didn’t know that beforehand, and it probably wouldn’t have been a deciding factor. But it makes me happy to see this certification or some kind of reuse of packaging. I myself ship my products in used packaging for environmental reasons, and I explain to my customers that it’s okay to reuse packaging materials.
Did you take into account the ten-year warranty and the guarantee that we will produce replacement parts for the cabinet for at least ten years?
I was happy to see the ten-year warranty because to me it means that you stand behind your products. But I didn’t know you had spare parts available.
How did the assembly go?
I assemble a lot of things by myself, but in this case my husband had to help me because some of the holes required delicate work to get the paint out. But we didn't have any major problems.
Does the cabinet function well even without being fixed to the wall? And can you tell us what you use it for in your home?
Yes, it’s completely stable, even though it’s stuffed to the gills. Our family loves board games, so as you can see, we need a special place to store them.
