The apartment of actor Tomáš Měcháček and his girlfriend Klára Hájková could be the showcase of our brand. Their books, room decorations and children's toys are displayed in several Fleysen shelves in white, yellow and green. In addition, they are going to get floor-standing shelves for their new creative concept store woohoo.cz in Prague.

Klára and Tomáš liked the Fleysen metal shelving at Designblok 2021, but they didn't have room for it at home, so they bought it after they moved into their current apartment. The colours, airiness and ease of installation were the main reasons why it was worth waiting almost two years.
How did you hear about Fleysen?
Klara: We discovered it at Designblok two years ago, where the launch of the whole brand was taking place. We knew all along that we wanted Fleysen, we were occasionally reminded about it on social media, but we still had nowhere to put it.
Tomas: We moved three times over the next two years and when we finally decided to stay here, we looked for the nicest and easiest way to go as far as assembly was concerned and we finally got the racks.
What attracted you to Fleysen?
Thomas: The airiness. That it's not really furniture, but a clean, nice feature. Then the simplicity and the foolproofness is absolutely great. You can see that someone has thought it all through so that anyone can assemble it.
Klara: I like the colours and the great variability. And I saw that you're now showing new ways to put shelves together in ways I wouldn't have thought of. We also came up with the "house" idea - if you put two shelves back to back, that looks good too. We're setting up shop where we'll be getting you too, and that's where we want to put the shelves in the space. And of course, I like the story of the whole brand, that someone is doing it because they just love it.
Did the fact that Fleysen is FSC certified play a role in your choice?
Tomáš: We didn't know about the certificate, but when we received a box full of corn filling, covered with paper and not plastic, it was clear that you care about ecology.
How did you stack the shelves?
Thomas: The green was totally fine, the yellow was advanced. There were about six ways to put it wrong. I tried all of them, but in the end I hope we got it right. It's good to sleep on it, which we didn't.
Did you think to watch the video tutorial?
Thomas: Excuse me! All I had to do was look at the paper instructions. But seriously - I didn't know about the video, but I don't think it's necessary at all.
Klára Hájková founded the Vzletná cultural (epi)centre, which inspires and educates children and adults in the field of art and creativity. And now she and Tomáš have opened a creative concept store woohoo.cz in Vinohrady.
