We are thrilled to announce that our design Cabinet #1311 has received the prestigious BIG SEE Product Design Award 2024. This recognition is a testament to our effort in combining elegance with functionality in product design.
Success of Czech Design
The journey to this success began with the collaboration with talented designers Michal Strach and Filip Mirbauer. Their creative vision and attention to detail laid the foundation for the creation of Cabinet #1311, which impressed the jury with its minimalist elegance and ingenious perforated design. This metal cabinet, standing on slender legs, represents a harmony between modern expression and practical usability with its subtle metal construction.
BIG SEE Award
The BIG SEE Award is one of the significant international recognitions for designers. In recent years, other Czech companies have also appeared among the awarded brands. For example, in 2023, the Czech brand POLSTRIN DESIGN received an award for the collection Hide and Seek, designed by Lexová & Smetana. This success underscores the growing importance of Czech design on the global stage.
Another significant Czech achievement was the award for the design duo Vrtiška & Žák, who in 2018 received the BIG SEE Interior Design Award for an interior project in Prague for the client U1. These designers also collaborated on the design of our modular library, which further confirms their talent and sense for detail.
