We present our modular bookcase to you, the newest addition to the Fleysen family. This piece of furniture is not only an aesthetic eye-catcher for your interior, but also offers numerous storage possibilities. The bookcase consists of three basic components - shelves, narrow and wide metal braces. It is distinguished by its modularity and flexibility.
Designed in collaboration with renowned Czech designers Vrtiška & Žák. It overcomes the limitations of our traditional shelf systems by arranging metal braces in combination with support plates made of LTD with higher load capacity. It also enables the choice between two different shelf surfaces.

Design
The design of our new modular bookcase is the work of renowned Czech designers Roman Vrtiška and Vladimír Žák. These talented designers, multiple winners of Czech and international design awards, began working together during their studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. They focus mainly on projects in the fields of architecture, interior design and product design, and since 2016 they have been running the Furniture and Interior Design Studio (D2) at the Academy.
Fleysen in collaboration with Vrtiška and Žák
Roman Vrtiška and Vladimír Žák came up with an innovative design approach for the bookcase for our Fleysen brand. Their goal was to create a product that complements and expands the existing product portfolio without competing with existing shelf systems. They succeeded in creating a piece of furniture that combines our technology with the typical circular perforation and panel material as a load-bearing element for the shelves.
Aesthetic details
The design of the bookcase is based on the L-shape of the braces, which not only reinforce its construction, but also provide an aesthetic rear view. Thanks to the predefined positions of the braces on the shelves, assembly is simple and efficient. For those who want a greater degree of individuality, we offer a wide range of eight colors and two types of shelf surfaces. We also enable combining different brace colors and choosing between wide and narrow braces within one product. This specific combination is not available in our online configurator
Installation and maintenance
Installation:
Our Fleysen modular bookcase is designed to make installation as easy and quick as possible. Each product comes with detailed instructions and all the necessary materials for assembly, including universal wall plugs for wall mounting. Assembly is simple and intuitive thanks to the predefined positions of the braces on the shelves. To secure the bookcase to the wall, we use screws that go through the circular cutouts in the braces. These cutouts, or perforations, give the bookcase its distinctive design and also serve to secure it to the wall.
The packaging also contains spacer pads in the color of the braces, which are used in case the bookcase cannot be pushed directly against the wall, for example due to a baseboard.
The first shelf, which is placed directly on the ground, is equipped with screw-on feet. These feet allow customers to easily adjust the balance of the bookcase so that it stands stable and straight on the floor. They make it possible to compensate for uneven floors, ensuring that the bookcase will always stand firm and without wobbling.
Maintenance:
With regular maintenance and proper care, you ensure that your bookcase will look great for many years. To keep your bookcase looking new for a long time, we recommend the following maintenance:
- White and gray laminate: These surfaces are durable and easy to clean. A soft cloth moistened with water and mild soap is sufficient. After cleaning, thoroughly dry the surface.
