We have been producing metal furniture since 1960

We have been working with metal on the Czech-German border since 1960. At the beginning, we produced electricity meter cabinets, and after 1991 we added metal furniture.

Our production is environmentally friendly and socially responsible, and part of our sustainable philosophy is a ten-year warranty and the availability of spare parts.

In 2018, we opened a new chapter and started producing functional designer furniture in collaboration with leading designers. The very first collection of colorful shelves, chests of drawers and lights, designed by Filip Mirbauer and Michal Strach, was nominated for the best furniture collection at Designblok 2021. The same designers designed a minimalist series of light-colored kitchen furniture a year later.

History of metal furniture production in Plesná

1960

Start of production

The town of Plesná (German: Fleissen) on the Czech-German border has a rich industrial history. Textile production began here before the First Republic, and even Tomáš Baťa himself admired the local factory. In the 1960s, our company began producing switchboards under the name Elroz, which lit up households in most Czech housing estates.

1991

Production of shelves and cabinets

In 1991, production expanded to include metal shelves and subsequently cabinets.

2021

The Fleysen brand was born

In 2021, we started producing Fleysen designer metal furniture in collaboration with leading European designers. The very first collection, designed by Filip Mirbauer and Michal Strach, brought a nomination for the best furniture collection at Designblok 2021.

2024

BIG SEE Product Design Award

Design cabinet #1311 received the prestigious BIG SEE Product Design Award 2024. This recognition is proof of our efforts to combine elegance with functionality in the field of product design.

Responsibility and sustainability

We ensure that our products are recyclable, biodegradable, or made directly from recycled materials.

Our main material is iron, which guarantees that the Fleysen product will not end up in a landfill, but will be recycled.

We use biomass plastics that can be composted. We are intensively reducing the carbon footprint of our plant – since 2018 we have reduced CO2 production by 45% and in the medium term we would like to achieve carbon neutrality.

We support local community, sports and cultural associations.
