New products, new possibilities
The cabinet, with its full-circle perforation, is designed to work from all sides and allow for the creation of separate islands in an open space. The significant perforation acts as a striking visual element that works with light and shadow.
The design also includes an integrated flower collar, which adds a lively and distinctive character to the furniture. The reinforced base construction ensures strength and stability, while the adjustable hinges with a brake system bring comfort in everyday use.
In addition to the perforated cabinet, a new cabinet in a debossed pattern will also be presented at Designblok . This surface brings a more subtle expression and new compositional possibilities to the collection. The debossed structure reacts to light and touch, giving the metal greater strength and durability. Thanks to the smooth finish, the cabinet is practical and easy to wash. It is perfect for spaces where aesthetics meet the requirements for daily maintenance and long life.
" Our goal is to create furniture that is not just an ordinary piece of equipment, but also shapes the atmosphere of the space. Perforations, debossing, flower collars and new structures are our way of bringing airiness, lightness and detail to the interior ," said Filip Dušek, owner of Fleysen.
Perforated tables will also make their debut , inspired by the aesthetic language of cabinets. Their perforated construction ensures lightness and visual airiness, while a solid metal base ensures stability. The tables work both independently and as part of a modular unit, easily adapting to different types of interior. They will be available in two sizes.
All new products – both cabinets and both tables – will be available in Black Gray (RAL 7021). This muted black-gray color does not absorb light, but works with it sensitively, so that the structure of the surfaces and the fine details of the perforation and debossing stand out.
Visual brand language
In this year's collection, Fleysen develops its characteristic signature, created by the design duo Michal Strach and Filip Mirbauer. The perforation that has defined the brand since its inception gains a new layer thanks to the debossed grid. This element brings additional subtlety, depth and haptic quality to the products, while opening up new possibilities for how to perceive perforation - as a combination of functionality and decor.
" The main theme of our installation is structures. We complement the typical perforation with deboss, which expands our visual language by another dimension. It emphasizes light, which we use as a living element ," explains designer Michal Strach.
“This creates a decadent scene that changes the character of the furniture according to the intensity of the light and the angle of view of each visitor ,” he adds. Filip Mirbauer, the second of the designers.
New system and direction of development
The presented novelties are the first glimpse of a new system solution that designers Strach and Mirbauer are currently working on. Metal furniture fans can look forward to the gradual expansion of the collection with other products following this year's presentation at Designblok.
Decorative metal wall panels are also created in the same concept , which transfer the principles of perforation and debossing to vertical surfaces and expand the possibilities of using metal in interior architecture.
