Fleysen, where are you looking?

Klára and Tomáš fell in love with the Fleysen metal shelves at Designblok 2021, but they didn't have the space for them at home, so they only bought them after moving into their current apartment. The colors, airiness, and easy assembly were the main reasons why they were worth the almost two-year wait.

How did you find out about Fleysen?

Klára: We discovered it at Designblok two years ago, where the entire brand was launched. We knew the whole time that we wanted Fleysen, you reminded us sometimes on social media, but we still had nowhere to put it.

Tomáš: Over the next two years, we moved three times, and when we finally decided to stay here, we looked for the nicest and easiest way to assemble it, and we finally bought the shelves.

What attracted you to Fleysen?

Tomáš: Airiness. That it's not actually furniture, but a clean, nice function. Then the simplicity and foolproofness are absolutely great. It's clear that someone thought it all out so that anyone could assemble it.

Klára: I enjoy colors and great variability. And I was watching that you are now showing new options for arranging shelves in ways that I would not have thought of. We also came up with the "little house" - if you put two shelves back to back, it also looks good. We are setting up a store where we will also hire you and we want to put the shelves in the space there. And of course, I like the story of the whole brand, that someone is doing this because they simply enjoy it.

Did the fact that Fleysen has an FSC ecological certificate play a role in your choice?

Tomáš: We had no idea about the certificate, but when we received a box full of corn filling, sealed with paper and not plastic, it was clear that you care about ecology.

How did you assemble the shelves?

Tomáš: Green was totally fine, yellow was for advanced players. There were about six ways to do it wrong. I tried them all, but in the end I think we got it right. It's good to get some sleep, which we didn't manage to do.

Have you thought about watching the video tutorial?

Tomáš: Oh, excuse me! I just looked at the paper instructions. But seriously – I didn't know about the video, but I don't think it's necessary at all.

Klára Hájková founded the cultural (epi)center Vzletná, which inspires and educates children and adults in the field of art and creativity. And now she and Tomáš have opened the creative concept store woohoo.cz in Vinohrady.
