Christian Pignati entered his space in the South Moravian region into our competition for a new office interior, which will serve not only employees but also as a shop. And what else would you expect in this location but liters of great wine? Fleysen Studio presented the owner with a design in a retro modern style, tuned to a deep ruby color .

Order like fine wine

When the participant of the competition became the winner, and thus also a client of Fleysen Studio in Plesná, our designers were overjoyed. Wine is associated with positive associations and life events, it has many aromas and flavors, and therefore such a project turns creativity on high gear. The aim of the design was primarily a cozy interior that breathes a modern and peaceful atmosphere on employees and customers .

What needed to be focused on?

The specific feature of the space is a relatively small area in the shape of a narrow "noodle ", which any more robust material or design would overload. As an exhibition area, our designers chose the iconic Fleysen metal standing shelves , which can easily hold wine bottles, but let the wall breathe.

Because the owner wanted an interior in a retro modern style, the designers complemented the proposal with authentic furniture from the 1960s, the wood of which resembles wine barrels , and a decorative rug that evokes more of a living room or shop.

Red or white?

As for the color scheme, it was clear quite quickly. Since the flexibility of Fleysen furniture lies, among other things, in its color options and it can be custom-made in any shade from the RAL chart, the designers decided on the ruby color of the metal shelves . They complemented this with the already mentioned furniture and accessories in warm colors and also by painting the walls in a beige tone .

To separate the store from the back, the designers chose a heavy curtain instead of a door to save costs. When left open, customers can see a large ball of rice paper in the back room, reminiscent of the northern sun . The lighting in the store is solved by strips with directional lights to highlight the wines on the shelves .

Simple, functional background

The designers kept the office minimalist and added simple shelves #1214 and perforated cabinets #1311 standing on a thin wire structure to the light wood worktop.
