And it's out! At the just-launched Designblok, you can see a fresh addition to the Fleysen family. This is a proper, genuine bookcase, the first ever in our portfolio. The new product was designed by designers from the Vrtiška & Žák studio, holders of the Grand Designer 2021 award .

A decent piece of furniture

Designers Roman Vrtiška and Vladimír Žák approached the design with a clear intention – to create a full-fledged bookcase that would offer the necessary load-bearing capacity and function, would not compete with existing shelves, and would still carry the recognizable Fleysen aesthetic . They used the thin metal by which you can recognize Fleysen for the partitions, and instead of metal, they made the shelves from boards with laminate or wood veneer.

It will carry even Proust

The bookcase is wider than all-metal shelves and the shelves themselves can handle a greater load. This is due to both the laminate material and the L-shaped metal partitions. The transverse parts form one vertical line, the longitudinal surfaces are perforated and placed in a zigzag pattern. One shelf has a load capacity of up to 50 kg , so you can safely store all of Stephen King's works in the bookcase, including In Search of Lost Time in five languages.

As always, you have a choice.

The bookcase has from two to seven shelves and of course our favorite color playfulness remains. For metal surfaces, you can choose from 8 shades , and you can choose the shelves in one of the colors white, gray and oak veneer.
